The English name is Aidan fruit, in Yoruba is the name Aridan, the Twi name in Ghana is Prekese and in Ibo it’s called Oshosho or Osakirisa. Prekese or tetrapleura tetraplera is a species of the pea family and is native to West Tropical Africa. The fruits of the plant have a strong aromatic smell with insect repellant properties.
